An update on the ” Gabon to Togo” transfer…all of the young women— 35 in total— in these photos below had been trafficked to Gabon to work for the wealthy households. They were ‘ encountered’ in the market place or in the streets of Libreville by the sisters and team workers in Gabon (Centre Arc-En-Ciel) and with the collaboration of UNICEF Togo, these young women and girls are now on their way home again. ( the sister you see in the grey veil and skirt is Bede Gabrielle Muntukwaku, a Vedruna sister from the DR Congo.)
As the words of the Earth Charter remind us: ” We are ONE. One human family, one earth community, one common destiny for all.” In other words, our daughters are returning…alleluia.
