Volunteer

There are many ways you can become a volunteer for UNANIMA International. If you are part of a member community perhaps a Catherine Ferguson Scholarship or Immersion experience is for you? If you would like to volunteer for UNANIMA International and are not connected to a member community contact us to find out more about Volunteering.

UNANIMA International extends an invitation to the members of congregations who belong to UNANIMA International to apply for the Catherine Ferguson Scholarship, an internship program with UI that is offered semi-annually for two or three sisters per term. Scholars will learn about the structure and functioning of the United Nations and the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) within it. They will research issues of concern to them and they will follow the work of NGO Committees working on these issues. They can follow and contribute to NGO work on Homelessness and displacement, poverty eradication, sustainable development, anti-human trafficking, environmental concerns, Indigenous issues… to mention just a few possibilities.

UNANIMA International offers the opportunity for an immersion experience to interested applicants who are members of a congregation affiliated with UNANIMA International. Immersion Experiences are offered for 2- 10 week periods and enable the applicant to: engage first hand in UNANIMA International and its with its major concerns; observe at close range the workings of the United Nations, its Commissions, and Committees; and associate with other NGOs and their activities.

Do you have a specific skill, or passion for the work we do at UNANIMA International? UNANIMA International offers the opportunity for individuals to volunteer their time or their resources with UNANIMA International. Volunteering with UNANIMA International can be done over any given period.
