“A Place For You” Exhibition of Nigerian Photos by Northfield, CT Photographer Lee Cantelon opens on September 12 through Dec 15, 2020 at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center, 229 East Litchfield Road in Litchfield, CT. The free artist’s talk begins at 3:00pm. The exhibit opening continues till 5:00 PM.
This internationally-impactful exhibit features photos taken by Mr. Cantelon during his three years of travel throughout Nigeria to document women and girls rescued or released from being held hostage by Boko Haram and Fulani violence. The theme of the exhibit is “understanding the meaning of being ‘internally displaced’ while people search for security and peace in both their external and internal worlds, both here in the West and the far reaches of the world.” Facial masks will be required by those attending.
